Four Oconee County first-responder units have “answered the call” to contribute funds to a local memorial that will honor first responders killed in the 9/11 terrorists attacks.
Oconee Nuclear Station officials will likely find out in the next several weeks about any findings and required inspections by the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) after an “apparent violation” related to a the shutdown of a nuclear reactor for three weeks last November.
