WESTMINSTER — In 2016 the West-Oak Warriors football team finished the season winless. Friday night in Westminster, coach Josh Pierce and the Warriors had a chance to avoid a repeat performance and secure a playoff spot in 2017 against region foe Crescent, but were unable to do so, falling by a final score of 29-3.

Daniel, 1-8 on the season, needed a victory over the Flame continue an impressive playoff streak of twenty-two consecutive years. The Lions were able to add another year to the streak by stifling the Pickens run game in a 24-7 victory on Senior Night.
