Sally Workman Padgett

SENECA, S.C. – Sally Elizabeth Workman Padgett of Seneca, SC, passed away on Sept. 20, 2021. She was born October 18,1956, in Woodruff, SC, to Niles and Margaret Workman. Sally was
predeceased by her parents and grandparents.
Sally is survived by her husband, Rodney Carroll Padgett of Seneca. She is also survived by a
sister, Carol Workman Walker (Jim) of Brevard, NC; a brother, Fred Workman (Phyllis) of
Anderson, SC; a niece, Megan Workman DeAngelo of Pomona, CA; and a nephew, Jonathan
Walker of Asheville, NC.
Sally graduated from Seneca High School and attended Tri County Technical College. With a
business partner, she opened The Healthy Olive in Seneca. She also worked in real estate in
the Seneca area. Sally was a long-time volunteer with the Collins Children’s Home in Seneca.
She was loved by many for her spirit and for her generosity and compassion toward family and
friends. She loved and took pride in her dogs: Bessie and Rupert (deceased) and Duncan and
Peanut. Sally was a devoted daughter, caring for her aging parents until their deaths.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, October 16, 2021, at 11:00 AM at the Walhalla
Depot, 211 S. College Street, Walhalla, SC. Family and friends are invited to attend. In lieu of
flowers, please consider a donation to Hospice of the Foothills, 390 Keowee School Road,
Seneca, SC 29672; Collins Children’s Home, 110 Collins Home Drive, Seneca, SC 29672; or
St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
