Ravenel Elementary AYP coaches, Karen Suarez and Angie Henderson, received a grant from Duke Energy on Jan. 19 in the amount of $800. Suarez and Henderson wrote the grant in hopes of providing the students in the AYP program a chance of visiting the community to educate themselves on employment and educational activities. The money will be used to take field trips to both Duke Energy and Clemson University, to name a few.
