Braden Galloway and the Seneca Bobcats basketball team improved to 2-0 on the season on Wednesday with a thrilling road win over the Westside Rams. Galloway poured in 26 points, grabbed eight rebounds, and provided invaluable energy for the Bobcats in the 69-64 victory.
The Walhalla Razorbacks boy’s basketball team began their season on a high note on Tuesday night with a 69-66 win over visiting Blue Ridge. The Razorbacks were outscored in all quarters except the first, but were able to hold off the Fighting Tigers and start the season 1-0.
As Seneca coach Hal Capps addressed his team for one final time this season at Tom Bass Field, some of his players were in tears, while others just stared at the ground. The first-year coach’s one simple message was that he loved them and was proud of them.
