Hints from Heloise | Test

Dear Heloise:
I volunteer at a HOSPITAL and have a few hints that might make visiting easier. Because of the privacy acts, we are allowed to tell you a room number only if you have the person’s exact name. Some hospitals list by the first name, and if a patient goes by his or her middle name, we might not be able to help. Patients should ask that they be listed by the names they use. (You also can request that this information NOT be given out.)

Andrew Moore: Ready for the return of Tiger the golfer | Test

I’ll be the first one to admit it — I’m no golf purist. Without delving into an argument over the entertainment value of a more slowly paced, cerebral game of skill as opposed to the action of basketball or baseball, let me just say that there are only two ways I’ll watch golf.

Small things add up to big things, especially when it comes to your health. For example, simply including green tea in your daily diet may significantly reduce your risk of prostate and, very likely, other types of cancer. Diagnoses I have never made in my career | Test

In 15 years of pediatrics I have had the opportunity to see tens of thousands of patients and make every imaginable diagnosis. Some illnesses, for example strep throat or the flu, come on suddenly and require acute evaluation and treatment. Others, like asthma and allergies, are more chronic in nature and require management and prevention.
