I, too, am a “Worried Driver.” A few years ago, I purchased 100 bumper stickers on the Internet that say “Hang Up and Drive.” We put one on our car, and my daughter and I have been handing them out to anyone who sees it and shares the sentiment. I have about 20 left, and when they are gone, I will buy more.
Question: If I do something wrong after I’ve given my life to Jesus, do I lose my salvation? This worries me a lot, because I know I’m not perfect and I’ll stumble. — H.A. | Answer: If we lost our salvation every time we sinned, then no one would ever be saved — because no matter how hard we try, even as Christians we still sin.
Question: As far as I’m concerned, religion is just a crutch for weak people. We need to be strong and rely on ourselves, and quit believing in something that doesn’t even exist (namely, God). Why do our government officials tell us so many lies? Do they really think we are a bunch of fools? Sadly, that seems to be the case. The saddest part of all is that they have a pretty good basis for their beliefs. They’ve been lying to us for so long, and getting by with it for the most part, they have little incentive to believe we will ever wise up.
Timidly I drove to Greenville that Tuesday night and walked into the YMCA gym to watch the guys in wheelchairs play their weekly game. A small scattering of relatives sitting in the bleachers looked at me quizzically as I quietly sat down to watch. The guys were playing hard — turning, passing, throwing and yelling at each other the whole time.
