On Dec. 26, you had a column from a reader about wanting stricter sentencing on child support payees. I am one of many inmates serving time at OLEC for child support. This is a civil suit, not criminal. I am doing three months off a six-month sentence.

No injuries after truck fire

Stations 11, 16, 17 and 21 responded to a vehicle fire on Monday afternoon in Seneca. A contractor was in a bucket truck trimming tree branches on Shoreline Drive when the truck began to smoke. When firefighters arrived, they found the truck fully involved. The blaze was quickly extinguished before it spread to homes. No injuries were reported.
