Lions earn 4A playoff spot by dousing Flame

CENTRAL — Friday night’s matchup with the Pickens Blue Flame was do-or-die for the Daniel Lions. Daniel, 1-8 on the season, needed a victory over the Flame continue an impressive playoff streak of twenty-two consecutive years. The Lions were able to add another year to the streak by stifling the Pickens run game in a 24-7 victory on Senior Night.
